For this episode, I spoke to Shirley Cooper, a correctional officer who has spent over 30 years trying to catch her youngest sister Margaret’s killer. On Friday, December 11th, 1987 around 10:15 A.M., utility workers found the body of a 21-year-old woman named Margaret Durant in a vacant lot at Higgs and Burrell Avenues in Grandview Heights, Ohio.

Margaret was last seen the night before leaving her job at 11:30 p.m. Margaret worked at the Limited Distribution Center on Morris Road in Columbus, Ohio. The Franklin County Coroner determined that Margaret was sexually assaulted and strangled. Today, No one has been arrested for killing Margaret.
