About

My name is Marc Hoover. I am a freelance writer and write a weekly column for The Clermont Sun, a local newspaper. In 2019, I won a Hooper award from the Ohio News Media Association (ONMA) for best original column. I have also written articles for the Examiner (now AXS.com), Huffington Post, Verblio, and Blasting News. Since childhood, I have always had a fascination with true crime and the paranormal. I am also a published author and have earned a B.S. in Business Administration (1994) and a Master's degree in Accounting (2015) both from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

From 1999 to 2010, I worked in social services for Hamilton County JFS (Cincinnati, Ohio). I started out in child support enforcement and then worked with children's services securing homes for abused and neglected children. I have also experienced the loss of a cousin, three former co-workers and a childhood friend to homicide. Fortunately, the killers were identified. But there are thousands of unsolved homicide cases across America. It's one thing to lose a loved one to an illness or an accident, but when someone murders a loved one, it's worse. Family members are left with so many questions, but without any answers.

Through my podcast and columns, my objective is to bring awareness to unsolved homicides and people who have gone missing, but are presumed dead. I have appeared on Fox 19 news, the Transparency Project podcast , ID Discovery Still a Mystery program and the Donny Walker morning radio show to discuss cases I have covered for the podcast. Today, it's someone else's loved ones getting murdered. Tomorrow, it could be you or one of your family members. You might have the necessary tip to solve a homicide and bring a killer to justice. Could you be this person?
