This week’s story is about a man in his 20s named Michael McKenney who lived in the Fairfield, Ohio area with his aunt and her family. For this story, I spoke to his mother Yolanda Middleton who has been searching for her missing son since May 2020 when he disappeared from a local park.

Michael was a young man who had internal demons he had to battle. He had a drug issue and had previously overdosed. But his mother said he seemed to be on the right track when he disappeared. He had just purchased a new car and had two jobs.

Michael vanished from Hueston Woods in Butler County, Ohio. Fairfield Township Police consider the case an active and open one. Unfortunately, they have run out of leads and haven’t been able to locate Michael or figure out what happened to him. Yalonda has hired a private investigator, passed out flyers, talked to local media about Michael and has done a lot to keep her son’s name in the public.

What happened to Michael nearly two years ago? His mother and siblings need answers. They would like to bring Michael home and to find out what happened to him. His family has been searching for him for nearly two years. They are concerned about his welfare and want him to come home.
